Privacy

Katha Booth ("we," "us," "our") operates kathabooth.com and provides photo booth services for weddings and events in Los Angeles and Orange County, California.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, our inquiry forms, and the photo booth itself at events.

1. Information We Collect

From website visitors and prospective clients

  • Name, email address, phone number

  • Event date, venue, and event type

  • Any details you include in an inquiry or contact form

  • Technical information collected automatically, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring site

From clients who book with us

  • Billing name and contact information

  • Event and venue logistics

  • Signed contracts and payment records (payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored by us)

From guests at events

  • Photographs and video captured at the booth

  • Whether a guest has opted in to future marketing messages

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

2. How We Use Information

  • To respond to inquiries and provide quotes

  • To deliver contracted services and coordinate with venues and planners

  • To process payments and maintain business records

  • To send guests their own photographs, which is a message the guest requested

  • To send marketing communications only to people who have affirmatively opted in

  • To maintain and improve our website

  • To meet legal, tax, and insurance obligations

We do not use guest contact information for marketing unless that guest separately opted in at the booth.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We do run retargeting advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Under California law this is considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, because information about your visit to our site is used to show you our ads elsewhere. See Section 9 for what is collected and how to opt out.

We do not share guest contact information collected at the photo booth with any advertising platform.

We share information with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent needed for them to do their work:

We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

4. Photographs and Likeness

Photographs taken at events may be used in our portfolio, website, and social media, subject to the following:

  • Clients may request Private Event status in writing before the event, in which case no images from that event will be used publicly.

  • Guests are notified at the booth that photos may be used for marketing and may decline. Guests who decline will not appear in our marketing materials.

  • We do not use images of guests who appear to be under 18 in marketing without written consent from a parent or guardian.

To request removal of an image of yourself from our marketing materials, email [ADDRESS]. We will remove it promptly.

5. Text Messages and Email

If you provide a phone number at the booth to receive your photos, we send you those photos. That is the message you asked for.

We do not add you to a marketing list unless you separately opted in. If you did opt in, you can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to a text or using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Message and data rates may apply.

8. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry standard for responding to these signals. [We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. / We honor Do Not Track signals by disabling analytics tracking.]

(Pick one. Disclosing your response to Do Not Track signals is required by California Business and Professions Code § 22575(b)(5). Saying you do not respond is permitted. Saying nothing is not.)

Third parties, including Meta, do collect information about your activity on our site and may combine it with your activity elsewhere to show you our ads. See Section 9.

9. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, understand how visitors use it, and deliver advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work correctly.

Advertising and retargeting

We run advertising campaigns on Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. To do this we use the Meta Pixel [and the Meta Conversions API] on our website. These tools place cookies and collect information such as:

  • Pages you viewed on our site and actions you took, including submitting an inquiry form

  • Your IP address, browser, and device type

  • A hashed version of your email address or phone number, if you submit one through our forms, used to match you to a Meta account

Meta uses this information to show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram after you visit our site, and to help us measure whether those ads work. This practice is commonly called retargeting.

We also create audiences of people who have visited our site or engaged with our content, and we may ask Meta to show our ads to people with similar characteristics. We do not upload guest contact information collected at the photo booth to any advertising platform.

Opting out stops personalized advertising. It does not stop you from seeing ads generally.

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including [password protected accounts, encrypted payment processing, and limited staff access]. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third Party Links
